Project Kickoff

First off, hello! And welcome to my adventure, the 100K Project, which is officially starting TODAY! I'll save you the the long details (checkout "The Project" and "About Me" pages for more info!), but basically this is a project of exploration and progress. My goal is to take $250 cash and, using only whatever I have around me and in me, turn it into $100,000 as fast as I can... and then give a big chunk away and continue working with the rest.

How? That's a good question. The truth is, I'm not sure. I started the project with a few goals in mind:
1) to prove to myself that I was smart and determined enough to do it
2) to explore/experience/vet ways of making money and small business ideas
3) get comfortable doing some business on my own and building a better future while keeping food on the table at home

 So i'm going to explore. I'm going to try things out and try to create/find/provide value and turn it into revenue. Things that work and that I enjoy, I'll keep working on and growing and optimizing.  And if i find things that don't work, or that I can't get passionate about, then all leave those on the trail. This project is about learning and doing, that will be the goal every day, and I'll use the 100K goal to push me to succeed and get things moving.  And I'm going to document the whole adventure here, so others can follow and maybe learn new things (or much more likely, get to laugh at me struggling through it!). 

I hope this becomes an interesting story to follow, I'm sure it will be an interesting one to live. I don't know how long it will take or how much "fun" it will be, but I'm excited and in for the long haul. I imagine there will be some great days of success and some nasty messes I get into as well, and if nothing else it should be fun to watch! 



A Couple Housekeeping Items:
I'm not a tech guru or internet genius (quite the opposite!), and my artistic creativity largely ended with the macaroni picture frame I made my mom in pre-school...  So i'm sure this site will be a learning process as well. As I learn new tricks or upgrade, I'll share those here, and hopefully I'll get better as we go along.

What to expect:
I'm going to keep in pretty frequent communication, as I hope there will often be progress to share! Besides the story and progress, I'll be sharing any tricks or pitfalls I discover on the way. Even in the few weeks I've been preparing to start, I've discovered that there is a VAST wealth of resources and tools to use once you get moving, and it's not nearly as hard to start as it looks to be!

I'll also be active on the Project's social media pages, so please search us out and follow/friend/contact etc, to make sure you stay up-to-date on our progress.

One last thing: Get Involved!!
